ECO4 Heating Pipes fitted over the existing concrete floor on a structured mat stuck to the old tiles. Eco4 Light prevented lifting and disposing of the old floor tiles containing Asbestos. Retaining the tiles saved an estimated € 100,000 for Asbestos disposal changes.

Testing floor heating pipework and primary piping for to 6 Bar pressure, test applied to all pipework prior to screed being fitted, piping system signed off on completion. Each zone labelled at manifold for control by Eurosmart energy efficient control system.

Laying of thermal floor compound over heating pipe to 25 mm thickness. The system is self levelling and offers a flat level surface for tiling when cured. Eco4 is a structured system which increases the strength of any existing floor, making it suitable to support extra weight.

Self-levelling Eco4 thermal compound applied to encase pipework and offers fast transfer the thermal energy to heat the building. The structure of the Eco4 panel creates a strong floor when drying in finished and radiates heat into the space with no delay time.

The drying process of the Eco4 Thermal Compound is ready to begin. New tiles can be installed one week after the screed has dried out, ventilation is required during the drying process to remove the moisture from the air, maximum drying time, 2 weeks.

Finished floor includes sunken baptismal Font and manifold system to connect the Eco4 piping. The entire surface of the floor has become a radiant low-temperature heater to create the required comfort in the occupied area where people gather, the high area at the ceiling does not get heated by the system.

Image shows seven pallets of tiles resting on the Eco4 25 mm structured floor to commence tiling, pallets have been moved into position using a 6-ton fork lift. The new Eco4 structured screed is designed to allow loading on the floor or the use of rising platforms for painting and decorating.

Tiling of the floor has commenced following curing of screed. The new porcelain tumbled-effect tiles transfer heat into the room using very low-temperature heating water which will be produces by two small heat pumps running on 12.5 kw each will replace the old 200 kw gas boiler.

Energy storage system to heat the church using renewable energy from heat pumps to heat fresh water to fill the baptismal font, allowing full submersion baptism in the sunken Font.

The heat distribution system in the basement plant room creates zoning and distributes heat to the required floors as programmed. The church is now divided into eight separate zones, each of which can be controlled independently.

Control system operating up to 32 heating zones on time, schedule and temperature. The system is designed to reduce energy consumption by 30%.
